Denning Human Rights Wing

Introduction

The Human Rights Wing was established by Denning Law School in October of last year as the most recent effort to broaden the academic scope of the institution.

Even in its nascent, the wing has already made an impact in educating Denning students and others about the Human Rights Legal Framework and its practical application in Pakistan, particularly Sindh.

A monthly podcast with Human Rights experts, activists, civil society members, and journalists is one of the wing’s regular activities. Furthermore, the Human Rights Wing organises training workshops in collaboration with and for external entities in order to raise awareness about various aspects of Human Rights Law.

The wing uses its Social Media presence to post a weekly series called “What’s happening in Human Rights?” to updates it audience on the most recent developments affecting human rights in Pakistan.

The wing intends to broaden the scope of its activities by hosting discussion panels and webinars with human rights law experts.

Work on the Human Rights Wing’s first publication, which was entirely researched and written by student members, has already begun.

Mission & Vision

To become an independent production house where we produce original songs, series, and movies and conduct commercial level concerts specifically by the Denning students. To make the platform of art accessible for Denning students by providing them with an opportunity to refine and practice their passion for dance, music and performing arts. In pursuit of executing any performance a student may go through an experience allowing them to develop confidence and learn the importance of teamwork and dedication and giving them a unique and memorable university experience.
